Important and necessary value-added processes in banking are performed largely automatically by high-capacity information and communication systems and therefore present an interesting field of application for Banking Informatics. The resulting potentials of optimization highlight the importance of Business Informatics for financial service companies. It is thus the aim, on the one hand, to make the candidates aware of the interactions of IT strategy and business strategy in banking and, on the other hand, to deal in detail with the current topics of the management and operation of information systems in banking. The courses equip the candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to take over executive functions in banking.

No previous knowledge of Computing is necessary, but the students must have passed at least two subjects in GCE (A/L) examination or at least 5 subjects in GCE (O/L). Any computing experience would be advantageous.
